HISTORY
1989 - South Bay Logistics was found as a local moving company servicing the Greater Los Angeles region. Within the first year the company acquired three trucks.
1990 - Due to the high demand of local business to business deliveries, South Bay offered same day trucking service.
1991 - With its dedicated clients South Bay expands service territories to most major cities in California with Next Day Service. Expand fleet with new tractor trailers.
1992 - Acquires a local carrier with over 10 power units. Open an 8,000 square feet trucking terminal in Whittier, CA. Establish a local truckload division.
1994 - Expand to over 20 power units and a 30,000 square feet truck terminal and storage warehouse in City of Industry, CA.
1996 - South Bay relocates to an 80,000 square feet truck terminal and distribution warehouse in City of Industry, CA.
1997 - South Bay Fremont, CA freight terminal and warehouse opens with 10,000 square feet. South Bay has a fleet over 30 trucks and 90,000 square feet of distribution warehouse.
1998 - South Bay acquires an intrastate carrier with over 40 power units give South Bay over 70 power units. South Bay adds nationwide transportation services.
2000 - South Bay Los Angeles, CA adds an additional 40,000 square feet and South Bay Fremont, CA relocates to a 40,000 square feet distribution warehouse. With these additions South Bay has a total of 160,000 square feet.
2002 - Increases a 300,000 square feet modern truck terminal and state of the art full service logistics center in Walnut, CA. South Bay has a fleet over 120 trucks, hundreds of nationwide partners, and thousands of carriers and with 2 modern logistics service center totaling 460,000 square feet.
2004 - Acquires state-of-the-art logistics facility with 140,000 square feet in Dallas, TX. The facility was previously occupied by Fortune 500 company Cellstar. Giving South Bay has a fleet over 200 trucks and 600,000 square feet of modern logistics center.
2005 - Establish a northeast facility located in Edison, NJ to provide faster transit. The 40,000 square feet facility is located in the Raritan Center in Edison, NJ.
